Details: Day Trip to Imlil from Marrakech
Pickup and Departure
Departure from Marrakech in the morning toward the High Atlas Mountains. On the way, pass through Tahnaout (local market on Tuesdays), Valley Ghighaya, and Moulay Brahim gorges. Continue to Asni (known for its Saturday market).
Arrival in Imlil (1740m)
Upon arrival in Imlil, you’ll be welcomed by a local guide with a refreshing glass of mint tea. From here, begin your trek or mule ride through traditional Berber villages such as Ait Souka, Targa Imoula, and Tagadirte, surrounded by fields of walnut, apple, and cherry trees.
Waterfall & Trek to Armed Village (1900m)
On the way, pass by a charming waterfall before ascending to Armed village (1900m), one of the oldest in the Toubkal Massif. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch with a local Berber family, accompanied by stunning views of Mount Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak in North Africa.
Descent via Ait Mizane Valley
After lunch, continue the trek down by the western path overlooking the Ait Mizane Valley, passing through Ashien and Fimlil villages, before returning to Imlil center.
Return to Marrakech
End of the trek in Imlil and drive back to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
